Cookie Dough + Oreo Cookies + Brownie Layer = Slutty Brownies

These brownies are so sinfully amazing I feel that they need to be wrapped in red laced stockings. Made with layers of cookies dough, Oreo cookies and then a rich brownie layer – that is only about as ‘slutty’ as one brownie can get. If you pour melted caramel over top of the Oreo cookies before the brownie layer, you’re a genius and we have made ourselves some super slutty brownies. I seriously doubt anything else can top this! Feel free to prove me wrong!

But we won’t go that far today. We will stop at 3 layers. I cannot give you a reason why. I think all this sugar and butter has messed up the wiring in my head.

I made these blow-your-mind brownies for the Biggest Morning Tea event that was held at work (and statewide I believe). It is to raise funds for the Cancer Council.

The brownies were gone within 5 minutes. I was being hassled for not making enough – by everyone.

For the rest of you who I cannot offer these amazing brownies to, I suggest if you’re feeling dangerous or dying for a really sinful treat, make yourself some of these. Or print the recipe and get a parent, sibling, partner or children, friendly neighbour or some stranger who looks nice enough to make it for you. They are not to be missed!

If I have to name one thing you should try at least once in this lifetime, I’ll nominate Slutty Brownies. They are truly as bad as they sound, in the most fabulous way possible.

Slutty Brownies
Recipe from What’s Gaby Cooking
Yield: 1 9×9 brownie pan


For the Brownie layer:

  • 150g unsalted butter
  • 1 1/4 cups white sugar
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup plain flour

For the Oreo layer:

  • 2 package of Oreo (regular stuffed or double stuffed)

For the Cookie Dough layer:

  • 113g unsalted butter (at room temp)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

For the Brownie layer:

In a sauce pan, melt butter over medium high heat. Once melted, add sugar and cocoa powder – whisk until combined. Remove pan from heat. Add salt, vanilla and eggs to the mixture and continuously whisk until the eggs are combined. Gradually add the flour and continue whisking until smooth.

Set batter aside.

For the Cookie Dough layer:
In a mixer bowl, cream together butter and sugars. Add egg and vanilla and continue mixing. Scrape down the sides occasionally to ensure batter is evenly mixed. Gradually add the flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Mix on low until everything is combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Set cookie dough aside.

Pre-heat the oven to 175°C.

Line the sides and bottom of a 9×9 baking pan with tin foil and then a layer of baking paper. Spray the lined pan with a layer of baking spray.

Place the cookie dough on the bottom of the baking pan, pressing down to form the bottom of the slutty brownies. (Spraying your hand lightly with oil will prevent it from sticking)

Line the Oreos on top of the cookie dough in one single layer.

Pour the brownie batter on top of the Oreo layer, ensuring all the Oreos are covered.

Bake for 30-35 minutes. Test with a knife to see if the center is done. If the knife comes out clean, let the brownies rest before serving. If the knife comes out with batter still on it, allow the brownies to bake about 5 minutes more.

Serve warm or in room temperature.
